Distinguishing Thoughts from Messages
My first channeling experiences and moving beyond limiting beliefs.
I had my first channeling experiences at a very young age. I remember seeing things and balls of energy around me. At 25, when I began my healing journey to become the best version of myself and find myself again, I regained energy and started hearing messages in my mind, or dreaming of scenarios that later manifested in my life or in someone else’s.
For example, I dreamed that a laptop fell into a sink while someone was washing vegetables, and the very next day I received a message from my friend saying that his computer had been damaged by water while he was preparing food near his sink.
In 2024, I joined an online group of mediums who do not practice professionally, but who receive messages and communicate with the spirit world. We practiced a few times a week, simply by setting aside our limiting beliefs during an opening meditation, grounding ourselves, connecting to the Divine Source of Love, and receiving messages for one another.
Completely freeing myself from limiting beliefs propelled my ability to channel, and pregnancy amplified it as well. complètement des croyances limitantes a propulsé ma capacité à canaliser ! La grossesse aussi a amplifié cela !
How messages feel: Channeled messages can feel sudden and a little intrusive.
I think it may be helpful for you to know what the messages I receive during mediumistic readings feel like for me. This can look very different from one person to another, but many mediums around me report similar experiences.
The messages can feel a little intrusive, and that is not necessarily a negative thing. I can be talking with someone, thinking about anything, or simply listening closely, and suddenly receive what I call a “flash”: an image of a situation or a short film. Sometimes it is a sentence that appears visually in my mind, or a word I hear, as if someone were speaking behind my ear.
Instinctively, I did not like receiving messages this way because I associated them with entities rather than with the Source. Since I began consciously connecting only to the Source, these experiences have greatly decreased.
Physical sensations: Channeled messages can come with physical sensations.
When I channel, it can come with physical sensations: shaking, buzzing energy in the body, or intense waves of shivers that last a long time. The message itself can also be sensory in nature, such as a feeling of pain, pleasure, electricity, heat, or cold in the body.
For example, while discovering the circumstances of someone’s death, I felt an intense chill behind my head that would not go away.
Channeling is effortless vs thoughts
This is one of the most intriguing aspects of channeling abilities, clairvoyance. When I channel, I almost self-hypnotize into a state of deep relaxation, connected to my breath, my body, and the earth. In this altered state of consciousness, messages flow easily and naturally, whereas thoughts, especially at the beginning when I am judging the information I receive, feel heavier and require much more energy.
I became aware of the density of thoughts: forming an idea takes more effort than receiving a message.
